I made this sculpture using a technique I invented with cardboard. Each piece of the Balloon Animal dog was cut into specific measurements, then soaked with water, and peeled apart revealing the inner malleable layer. This inner layer was then folded accordion-style, bound together delicately with thread, and turned inside out to make a walnut shell shape to dry. These pieces were all glued together to create Balloon Animal.
